The Board of Directors
Chairperson - Steve Andrews
Steve has 40 years experience in managing small businesses and has a long history of community and philanthropic involvement, including with the Lions Clubs of Australia. The loss of Steve's mother and a close friend to suicide was the catalyst for Steve developing Black Dog Ride in 2009 and ultimately founding Black Dog Ride Australia Ltd in 2014.
Director - John Lewin
John is a CPA and registered tax agent with over 50 years of financial, corporate and business practice experience. Although officially retired, John has overseen the management of Black Dog Ride's finances on a voluntary basis since 2009. John is also a founding member of the original south west WA Black Dog Ride 1 Dayer committee since 2010.
Secretary - Fiona Duffield
Fiona brings to Black Dog Ride over 15 years involvement in the not for profit sector as administrator, facilitator and manager. Fiona specialises in governance, policy and community development, and has worked with national, state and local not for profits and government groups. Fiona has lived experience of suicide and mental illness, in addition to experience caring for people living with mental illness.
Director - Gavin Miles
Gavin has experience as a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of three companies, and has been a farmer, a Chartered Accountant and until recently a Financial Planner. Gavin is now a partner with an e-learning SaaS platform. Gavin is a member and former President and Treasurer of the Claremont-Nedlands Lions Club, and is committed to supporting local communities.
Director - Tony Kiernan
Tony, previously a practicing commerical lawyer for over 25 years and has extensive experience in the administration and operation of public companies. Tony is currently a director on four companies listed on the ASX and also has a long history of involvement in the charity sector. Tony is currently Chairman of the Fiona Wood Foundation, and was on the Board of Anglicare (WA) for over 20 years.
Finance and Audit
Gavin has experience as a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of three companies, and has been a farmer, a Chartered Accountant and until recently a Financial Planner. Gavin is now a partner for an e-learning Saas platform. Gavin is a member and former President and Treasurer of the Claremont-Nedland Lions Club, and is committed to supporting local communities.
Andrew has over 20 years in the finance and banking sectors and has experience as a small businessmen, bookkeeper, financial planner and BAS Agent with diverse involvement in the not for profit sector. Andrew is a former Black Dog Ride Darwin and NT Coordinator, and now is now based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, assisting with his local Black Dog Ride 1 Dayer.

Membership to Black Dog Ride Australia Ltd will be opened in 2017. Ordinary Membership will be available to riders and volunteers who have participated in an approved Black Dog Ride activity, and Associate Membership will be open to all who support Black Dog Ride's mission.
